Snake

The snake never stops moving, so every input is a decision about where you will be two seconds from now rather than where you are.

Steer with the arrow keys, with W-A-S-D, or by swiping anywhere on the board. Speed climbs as you grow, so the game gets harder exactly as the space runs out.

A four-way pad sits under the board for thumbs that would rather not swipe, and the game pauses whenever you need it to. The board is drawn to fit the screen you are on rather than scaled down from a desktop one, so the squares stay big enough to read at speed. Your best score is kept on this device.
