About Deckchair Games

Deckchair Games is a small collection of 11 classic games that run in your browser. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and no trial that runs out. Open a game, play, close the tab.

Why it exists

Most free game sites ask for an email before you can play, bury the game under three screens of adverts, or push you toward an app. The games here are the whole point of the site: they load immediately, they work with a keyboard or a thumb, and the page around them is deliberately quiet.

How it is built

Every game is written from scratch to run entirely on your device. Nothing you do in a game is sent anywhere — your progress, streaks and high scores are stored in your own browser, which is why they survive a closed tab but not a cleared cache. There is no login because there is no server-side account to log in to.

The games are built mobile-first: real tap targets, boards that fit a narrow screen, and controls that do not sit underneath your thumb by accident. They work just as well with a keyboard and mouse.

How it pays for itself

Advertising, and nothing else. There is no premium tier, nothing to buy and no data sold on. Adverts sit in fixed places around the page and never inside a play area — you will not find one covering a button or interrupting a game.
