About FreeCell

FreeCell deals all fifty-two cards face up across eight columns, which means there is nothing hidden and nothing left to chance after the deal. Four holding cells sit above the board, each taking a single card, and four foundations wait to be built up from ace to king.

Because nothing is concealed, almost every FreeCell deal can be won by someone who plans far enough ahead — losing is a planning failure rather than a bad shuffle. The board tells you when you have genuinely run out of moves, so you never sit hunting for one that does not exist.

How to play FreeCell

Move all fifty-two cards to the four foundations, each built up from ace to king in a single suit, using four single-card holding cells as working space.
